You only will usually get one chance to end the game with Craterhoof Behemoth, but that can be all you need, and decks that go wide love this as a way to lock things down. Even a merely decent board state represents a lot of added power when this resolves, and it’s in the color with the fewest problems in getting out creatures that qualify as “absolute units”. For the Secret Lair: Extra Life 2021, we worked with a group of children to reinterpret iconic Magic creatures, like Mulldrifter and Craterhoof Behemoth and created brand-new renditions with our talented Magic artists that brought their creations to life in our signature style.While that body might look innocuous, Craterhoof Behemoth is one of the ways you can try to say “this game ends now” in a creature-based deck. Last year our fundraising efforts included a charitable Secret Lair drop, D&D Adventures, MTG Arena offerings and created Magic and D&D apparel. Since 2015, Wizards has been a proud partner of Extra Life and the Seattle Children’s Hospital and thanks to the kindness of our teams and generosity of our community we have been able to raise over $3.7 million dollars for their cause. This award recognizes partners who go above and beyond with innovative fundraising ideas, outside-the-box thinking, and increased commitment to this cause. We are honored to share today that Wizards has been chosen by Seattle Children’s Hospital as the recipient of their “Care” Award for our charitable fundraiser in 2021.
